In March 2023, I opened the doors to my first ever solo curation ‘Women by Women’, a group exhibition in celebration of International Women’s Day. The exhibition was held over one week at That Art Gallery in Bristol and brought together the works of nine female artists. 20% of all proceeds went to UN Women UK Gaza Emergency Appeal.
The following artists showed as part of the exhibition: Katherine Allen, Fra Beecher, Caitlin Booton, Sonja Burnie, Alice Farrington, Jazz Potter, Sanni Pyhänniska, Ellie Shipman and Tansy Tester.
The show tied together a group of female artists making work on women: sharing the experiences of both being woman and being surrounded by the women in our lives. Taking place on the week of International Women’s Day, this collection of work celebrated identity, community, sisterhood, body, and motherhood.
