In May 2024, I created an interactive wall hanging about the treasures we find in our pockets, to be exhibited as part of an exhibition in Fringe Arts Bath. This exhibition curated by Devanshi Rungta ‘The Personal Shrine Project’ was a collection of stories, relics and personal histories interpreted by the artists Andrew Mockett, Carolyn Savidge, Cupboard Theatre – Pip Ralph, Dead Paisley, Erin Alibocus, Jennifer Ng, Jim Pilston, Juliet Duckworth, Liv Jackson, Matt Lee, Megan Cheetham, Sanni Pyhänniska, Sue Condie Gardner.

‘Treasures’ is a collective shrine for sentimentality, inspired by a collection of personal riches scattered across my entire warderobe – the things residing in my pockets. Tokens and relics that are not only saved and kept, occasionally rediscovered, but also carried around wherever we go, must be quite precious.
‘Treasures’ functions as a physical collector of stories where the pocket sewn into the screenprinted hanging serves as a place for the public to leave hand written notes about the personal treasures they keep in their pockets. These stories in turn have become treasures that I, the artist, have kept – and so the cycle continues.
